I could'a worked that out

the redness is not the infection and the skin is the same temperature as your body and not feeling hotter in the infected area.
With problems in the leg area, it takes antibiotics a bit longer to reach etc, so I'll give you another 7 days course of penicillin, I'll give you one that's different to the one you've just taken as this one is better at absorbing through the skin ??

err! I take them orally and it doesn't say on the box, "rub in to effected area" just take one 3 times per day

Me and cellulitis have travelled many a mile together, it's not a good companion. I'm surprised that your Docs haven't considered it before. Don't worry too much, it's a bloody nuisance and a lot of pain but you are unlikely to lose a leg because of it, I just hope it doesn't break out into ulcers.

A change of anti-B's sounds essential, maybe Ciprofloxacillin or Cefalexin (that's what I got) and (God forbid, Metronidazole), you must not have a drink with Metro, it WILL make you violently ill.

but I do stand as much as I sit and I stand 99% of the time when out, including other folks homes

Yep! it is cellulite and it is an infection, but whether that's called cellulitis ? or not - I dunno ?

I now have another 7 day course of clarithromycin 500mg 2 per dayI was taking 3 per day for 3 weeks when I had the chest virus.
Doc sort of did say, that it could take a while to "shift" so "keep on taking the tabs" and I have another appointment for next Friday
