i dont like mazilla, it tends to close the tabs, i want to reuse later.

i think i use the explorer7, set to homepage google, saves time.

but at the mo, its not admin and user, so i find it changed to ask, limewire.skype and others, J.H.D.

I've never used any other than Mozilla

i prefer the explorer.

the boss as had to turn off the updates, as people kept bringing anything, so the add and remove was chocker block, and took the space.

Limewire???

I stopped using limewire years ago, I got fed up with having to dump the spyware and all the other crap that goes along with it.

now you know why i dump the lot, before i used the pc at the cyber. J.H.D.

this is beyond a joke (I'm still laughing though, because it's only the 7th Jan and second wipeout already)

I'm lucky to be in now actually, since the reinstall last Sunday, something has seemed amiss ?? and again this evening, when turning the PC on it would not open to log in part and for some unknown reason, it's just let me in but still acting as if windows and ram memory haven't a clue - SO! I'm going to have to wipe againI can't have it locking me out all the time
this lock out was after installing windows office 2007 and updates and a driver update for my printer, all from microsofts update site

it was the 2007, version that was giving the yber pc the problems, after the boss took it off, and replaced with the 2008 it was ok.

he said it was something to do with, it being no longer supported by microsoft in full.

i was just thinking, why isnt there an homepage for people in the know on the pc, to help with questions on the problems, so of us cant fathom out on our own.

there's loads of sites and forums, but no good if you can't get on to the PC to start with

I will have to get inside and see it's details before I can buy a replacement, so once again going A.W.O.L. could be on the cards LOL!!!!!!!

Work out its output and buy a bigger one prof, it will only cost a couple of quid more.

it's a 450 watt TQ, but are they standard to the voltage etc of various parts of the pc ?? as in 2 to 3 volts in places

450W should be enough for most towers (unless you're running high drain games, etc), prof. Maybe you have a clogged cooling fan or something, or maybe just a bad 'un of course.

Connections are standard at 12V, 5V, and 3.3V all with different types of connector so that you can't mix 'em up.

Don't forget that with the cold weather the input voltage will have been well down and that will transfer through to the computer voltages. When I worked in the industry several decades ago, the minimum supply voltage (by law) was 240V ± 6%. Since privatisation that has fallen to 220V ± 11%, can't have standards interfere with profit, can we?.

It might be an idea to hold back on spending the dosh until you know that everything is on the level.

next pc bought will not be from where this one got

Don't buy a PC, prof, keep the case and buy a motherboard

my next door friend/neighbour builds themhe'll have a client once the proverbial boat comes in

power unit is now in the post and on it's way
