my friend across the road, does repairs/reprogramming to pc's as an hobby, he dropped BT last year because of the 500mb - there's still agro about the advertising "UP TO 2mg/*mg etc etc" on all ISP's, so far no one gets above 1mg as far as I know

As you can see from the connections above, your line is starting to look more stable. If this does continue to drop then we will need to arrange for an engineer visit.

I ain't got a clue what that means
smiley - laugh

me, as in test figures sent

This is the second test I have done via BT's broadband speed checker this evening. I have been informed by a friend who was present at the tests, that my IP Profile of 135 kbps is extremely low and that for up to 2 meg broadband, it should be approximately 1000 plus and this apparently is set by Plusnet. If a BT engineer is required to check the situation, I now feel that the fault is not of my doing, as being on income support the thought of £144 plus scares me

or in other words tough!

smiley - laughsmiley - laughpast caring

ps: he was only here for one test, as they have to be 3 hours apart

Sunday - latestsmiley - grrso I've replied for them to get a BT engineer

Thanks for your query. At this stage you should not be concerned with speeds, the issue is that your connection is dropping. If the dropping connection issue is fixed then the speed will take care of itself.

Your connection did stabilise a few days ago suggesting the issue is from your side. I would suggest at this point plugging an alternate router/modem directly into the BT test socket and monitor the connection from there for a few days. This will rule out all of the internal wiring in your property. If the issue persists this can be re-raised with BT.
