Thanks for the tips. Enjoyed reading this. What's the word?

Thanks, Phred. The word is floccinausinihilipilification, and it means the study and catagorization of unimportant or worthless things. (No, I did not just make it up on the spot!)
If you want to see my other entrys, they are:
"How To Choke On A Pretzel"
"Happiness, The Secret To"
"The Banishment Of Boredom 101"
I think you might like them.

Great entry! The toddler technique in particular can work very well, especially if you happen to have parents who are suseptible to it (namely, my parents. My five year old sister can get nearly anything she wants.) Another method that works, especially for girls, is to become a "daddy's girl" in order to make up for the unfairness in the world. Fathers usually have a soft spot for their little girls (and in a father's eyes, daughters are *always* their little girls), and so by merely asking for something in a sweet voice and giving a little "pouty" face, it is often easy to get what you want. Not sure if this works for boys at all. I never had any brothers...
By the way, your 12 syllable word was recently in a Geiko Auto Insurance commercial... some poor kids in a spelling bee had to try to spell it... Next time it comes on I can pretend to be really smart and tell people what it means!

I'm very glad that you liked my entry, LeppardStalker; I don't get many people on my entrys. My first entry, which is also one of my best entrys, called 'Boredom Banishment 101" I've only got 1 person on 2 hours ago. Thank you also for the imput on more techniques! I'm going to add in your suggestion as soon as I finish up writing on "Happiness, The Secret To" (that's another one of my entrys, and I think you would like it.)
In closing, I'm glad that ypou recognized my word. Any time you need a really long, intelligent sounding word, such as ostrabogulous, write me.

It's another corker! Made me smile, well done PWT.
The pillow technique doesn't work for me, or anyone i've talked to, but no doubt it works for some people

There is another technique not touched on here: bullying and threatening your way to the top. If you can pull this technique off, you become the life that others complain about the unfairness of. And also, you have lots of lovely minions to do anything undesirable for you, so life can become incredibly unfair for them, and incredibly favourable to you.

Hiya PW!
I understand that this is not PR. Still, I want to start by congratulating you on a fine AWW entry. I'm hoping that in time you will include additional techniques as they reveal themselves to you.
Meanwhile (picky, picky), your opening:
Life, as was said by Simon Jones in the Hitchhiker's Guide Radio show, is terribly unfair.
Should probably be written to properly attribute the quote. First, the grammar part:
"Life," as was said by Simon Jones in the Hitchhiker's Guide Radio show, "is terribly unfair".
Second, the source part:
L"Life," as Douglas Adams wrote in the Hitchhiker's Guide Radio show, "is terribly unfair".
I'm certain that DNA would appreciate it if he weren't dead.
Meanwhile, Perhaps you'll read my entry in the AWW on How the Pyramids got their shape. It may give you insight on how another group of people dealth with unfairness.
