I find that the directing of copious volumes of vitriol at largely irrelevant topics can be quite therapeutic.

Hey, Scorpion, you can write!
I loved the 'entertainment Ouroboros', among much else; and at least I now know who won. The only downside is that I will have to drive through Berkshire Radio or whatever that local radio station is, who will be dilerious that their boy done so well.
Thanks for making me laugh out loud.

While "directing of copious volumes of vitriol at largely irrelevant topics can be quite therapeutic", I would guess that like masturbating, it is something that is generally better done in private.
I think that considering your phrasing, there is a good chance that someof this stuff is actually libelous.
Even if not, you have a nice good rant about manufactured future has-been's, and then go on to mention another one as being very good. (britanny).
While it might do you good to get it off your chest, that can be done just as well by typing it into your computer, storing it locally, and then forgetting about it, and thus having to delete it later when your disk get's full.
While you definately have some ability to write, I don't think that this has done you any favours.
do you?

Which bits in particular did you think were libellous? Most of it is insulting and intellectually snobbish certainly, but it hardly defames anybody's reputation.
And by fixing it for Britney to win, I meant that she would then be the one who had to quit. Proabaly the fault of my phrasing.

Hi there, M. de Rooftrouser,
Thanks very much for *not* "typing it into your computer, storing it locally, and then forgetting about it, and thus having to delete it later when your disk get's full."
I read and enjoyed your vitriol and I agree that you can write. I also liked the tail-eater, though I had to look it up! Always glad to meet and get to know new words (they are generally easier to get to know than people, I guess ).
Didn't see any libel (no law against saying you think a pop star is c**p!), and didn't mind your public and vitriolic mastrubation (sounds rather painful ). Keep on directing that vitriol towards the AWW and I will look forward to reading the results.

libellous, uh no. It's all 'fair comment', and these trash idols are most definately the subject of public interest. Besides, I reckon you could probably defence "Britney Spears is rubbish" on purely factual grounds...
I really liked this entry - made me wonder what other gameshows could follow in its footsteps...

An article compared with masturbation gets one point in favor. An article condemned by xyroth gets another point in favor. And an article which xyroth clearly misunderstands? M. de Rooftrouser scores 3 out of 3 so far.
xyroth: "Even if not, you have a nice good rant about manufactured future has-been's, and then go on to mention another one as being very good. (britanny)."
If you had followed the story more carefully, you would see that Rooftrouser is condemning Brittany by suggesting she should "win" his joke competition "Pop Loser." "Well, that’s the point of Pop Loser. At the end of the series, the eventual winner has to stop. Stop singing, stop recording, stop selling. Their back catalogue will be deleted, their albums removed from stores, their gold discs repossessed."
He's not saying she's "very good." He's saying she's so bad that she should stop singing, stop recording, have her catalogue deleted, etc.
"While you definately have some ability to write, I don't think that this has done you any favours."
This appears to be the minority opinion so far. The rest of us appreciate the favor Rooftrouser did for us by posting it.

Bravo! Rarely have I had the pleasure of reading such well crafted and eloquent spite.
I found that the second half dragged a bit, but was well worth it for the last line.
Many thanks.
