This is a pure piece of fancy about my rp alter ego, Pythia the Peacenik Vogon. This entry is more a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan fic than anything else, but it is only part of a much bigger fan fic that I expect shall be finished sometime after the crack of doom. I thought it might be cool to flesh out my Pythia story a little more than just the journal entries I have for her. The intro is written from her POV, but the rest is in Omniscient Storyteller Mode. Check it out and see if you dig this first episode of a zany, slimy series!

Alright, I know it's taken me longer than I said it would, but I have come over and read your story!

I do think I would like it quite a bit better without the introduction, though, which only confused me. Maybe the funnier bits from the introduction could be worked into the story itself?

I agree that the introduction threw me slightly.
If you're going to write it as a series perhaps it would be a good idea to wait until you've written them all and then put the in The Post one a week?

Yipes, I'm always spelling "their" wrong... I'll get round to correcting that in a bit. I'll have to work with that intro. Hum, maybe I could put it all in first person or subjective POV, instead of switching back and forth. Which of the two would you guys recommend?

As for the suggestion about writing the whole thing at once: good idea, but I'm "slogging through this thing episodically", which translates from writespeak to "I have absolutely no idea where this story is going." Plus, I think I'll be more motivated to produce if people are waiting on me for the next installment! All I know is, there is a crossing of paths with a crazy Eart kid whom we may have met somewhere in the books, but in a -shall we say- slightly different iteration? Arthur hops into this crazy ride sometime much further down the line, but that may not be for some time. And we get to meet the reasons why Earth never seems to fully terminate. Don't ask me to explain; I've given away too much already.

I have not forgotten my post; I've have just been a bit distracted lately. Besides, my server went down for a while over the weekend. Would somebody please get back to me on the intro question before I rewrite? I've finally got the Underguide's attention, and I don't want them to think I've ditched the effort! I'll call back this weekend, Thursday if I can.

I think ditch the intro and perhaps work some of it into the main story, and write it all in first person. I could be wrong...

I like that idea.

The first line really ought to be 'When I first landed...', but that's just the way I read it. It'll be interesting to see where this thing goes.

Between my AP English class (BRUTAL course) and an act in the annual talent show with my best friends, I have had little time for poor Pythia. I shall rewrite promptly!
