warning for all of you, this entry is very, very confusing. i'm confused myself, and i wrote it. 42% of the thing is just rambling about card games and how not to start conversations. i put a little etiquette section in just so you know how to speak in a mannerly manner.

I don't know if this applies in the underguide, but in the rest of the guide british-isms should be used over american ones, hence z is pronounced ZED. Like I say, it may not matter for the underguide anyhoo

thats okay, easy fix. i just didn't know, that's all. if i did, i would have stayed true to the birthplace of the guide. and all the better, if it's gonna give me a better chance at making front page! heh

British English is not necessary outside the Edited Guide, so do what comes naturally .

I was thinking of rude as in rough and ready, as opposed to impolite. It can also mean sudden, as in a rude awakening.

I'll look for new footnotes later .
