This was accepted for publication in my retirement magazine in November 2000, minus a picture at the bottom, which I shamelessly copied from a site on the internet and labelled, one of Anne and Wally’s cleaners limbering up for a session with the feather duster.

I don't have any pink socks. I've never had any pink socks .

Blimey. What can one say? Fame at last. I've always wanted to have my gems polished . I'll celebrate tonight with a or three but not with a if you don't mind 'cos I'm trying to give that up.
