Lonnytunes - Winter Is Here

I have been trying to catch up on some sub editing but, alas, the relevant Peer Review threads are missing.

Point of explanation: I'm talking about the fora where Scouts (and others) post comments and other snippets of info. Eventually a Scout recommends the yarns acceptance and Mark moves the Peer Review thread to the article's fora.

These are quite helpful when subbing - the fora often contain additional info.

The yarns I have are not posted at the "What's Coming Up" page either.

They are:

A483446: Fermat's last theorem
A487767: Volleyball Scoring Systems - A History
A502435: British Vehicle Registration Plates
A506431: Novelty Sports Mini-Games

I await enlightenment. Luckily I have a few cold ones in the fridge smiley - bigeyes

I suppose I can work out Fermat's last theorem while I'm waiting smiley - bigeyes

Bruce, did you see the big crash just now in the Aussie grand prix. Pretty spectacular stuff.

As you are an Aussie, I'm guessing you are watching. smiley - bigeyes

Greta flying Villeneuves! - That one??

I am indeed watching - though it's no where near as good as the bike GPs to watch.

Being an Aussie not all my cold ones are in the fridge smiley - winkeye

Agreed. Though it is always great to listen to Murry Walkers stuffed-up commentary. I'll miss that next year when he finally retires.

Are the cold ones in the eski?

I have just heard on the news that a bomb has exploded outside one of the BBC's London offices

I wonder if it has anything to do with the "Yikes" button?

Back in the 70s I used to work in a pub, The Wellington, in Shepherds Bush. It was just across the common from Wood Lane - where the blast went off.

Unsurprisingly, Herr Schumacher led the procession home.

Yep Schumacher won - though someone hasn't explained to some of the young rookies that there's no passing in F1 smiley - winkeye

Probably not, but they have a point. smiley - smiley

Not saying I agree with their chosen method of expressing it, of course.

Oooh, yes, thanks for pointing that out, Loony. When we decided to tackle the forum moderation issues, we had to pick the most important ones to do first, and then the rest were queued in the reverse order of the date of the first post (does that make sense? smiley - smiley).

However, although I picked out all the Peer Review threads as important to do first, I forgot about moved threads, and now they are stuck in the queue.

It would be quite a pain to move them around in the queue, so although it's not perfect, I recommend that you just sub the entry as is, and when we have implemented our forthcoming (one day!) revision system, we can take them into account. It'll only affect a handful of entries.

Sorry about - that was an oversight on my part. smiley - sadface

I suppose that means that I should really wait to see how far I have got in my Uni Project as well before I can really get around to adding the stuff I have written since the site went down as well. smiley - sadface
