Very readable, and nice quotes.
What bugs me about the ban is the lack of any concession for hospice day unit patients. The smokers' shelter at the local hospice has a phone, a painting on the back wall, hanging baskets, nice bench, but it's still a good trek across the car park. In wind, snow and rain on occasion.

There's an 'an' missing in the sentence about the on-the-spot fine of £50 in the first paragraph. Before the on-the-spot I believe. Can one be popped in please?
