No, the window is not accessible from the outside.

Apologies, I assumed that the cat got in the window and knocked the goldfish bowl over. If not, then it must have been a force 9 or 10 wind that blew through the window to knock the bowl over.

Romeo and Juliet were Goldfish. The Goldfish bowl was blown off the table by the wind, through the open window. The bowl smashed on the floor. The goldfish died.

OK then - have a go at this:

Sitting in Bed
A man is sitting in bed. He makes a phonecall, says nothing, and then goes to sleep. What was the point of the call?

Does he not say anything, or does he actually say, "nothing"?

He does not speak. He is mute, silent, soundless and/or noiseless.

How long does he stay on the line for?

He puts the phone down - hangs up - the moment that the call is answered.

It's his wife on the other end, he's on a business trip, and she knows that's his way of saying goodnight.

He doesn't know the person whom he calls!

A prank caller, then

No - there-s a reason - think laterally.

Wrong number? but then he would've tried again, hey?

What number did he dial?

Ahha - we're getting there even if it is like extracting teeth.
He dialed a hotel room number.

He'd organised with reception to have a wake-up call in the morning, and he was checking if the line was working.

Reception isn't a room number!
