Hello, and welcome to H2G2. smiley - smiley

I'm afraid that this kind of entry really isn't suitable for Peer Review. Peer Review is for articles which meet the writing guidelines for inclusion in the Edited Guide, and for comment and suggestions about how to improve them. The edited guide is a kind of interactive online encylopadia produced by researchers. You can find the writing guidelines by taking the welcome tour on the front page - there's also a link on my personal space (click on my name to go there).

In the meantime, could you please remove this from peer review? You can do this by clicking on 'peer review' at the top of this thread, and then on the 'x' or 'remove' link next to your entry. This won't delete your entry, but will remove it from peer review.

Any questions, please ask smiley - smiley

Otto

Well, in order for it to be suitable for PR, it needs to be factual. As there is no proof that vampires are real, all reference to them would have to be removed. Do you think you can do that, or would this be better off elsewhere?

Entries should be accurate - but they can concern a fictional topic. There is already an entry on vampires: A273566

I think your piece would be better suited elsewhere in h2g2. Do check out the writing guidelines for guide entries, as suggested.

Felonious Monk - h2g2s very own Bogeyman

Eeven if it were factual, it's semi-literate anyhow. Talk about carts before horses: don't they teach people to write and punctuate nowadays *before* they teach them how to use a computer?

I think the trouble is that on one's personal space you can click on 'add guide entry' which takes you straight to a writing window, bypassing most of the advice & guidelines.
If someone hasn't done any research around h2g2 first, I'm not surprised that unsuitable pieces turn up here.

draculaslawyer, please don't be offended at the comments here. H2g2 is vast & varied, there are lots of places to put your point of view. Generally you will find people a lot more interested & receptive if you pay more attention to punctuation, spelling & grammar.

There ought to be a moratorium on anybody posting an article to PR within a month of registering. That way, they'd have to use their time *reading* instead. If they still wanted to write after doing this, chances are they'd have picked up something useful, otherwise they'd just wander off anyway.

Hmm, it might be worthwhile your reading the Writing-Guidelines, draculaslawyer. That will give you an understanding of the type of entry which is suitable for the Edited Guide. At present, this one doesn't meet the guidelines.

.

Hey, draculaslawyer! Are you planning to remove this entry from Peer Review (or put it in another review forum) or change it or something? It's probably not suitable for the Edited Guide but you could try the Alternative Writing Workshop.

Niwt smiley - cheers
