You're excusedsmiley - winkeye

Are you trying to quit smoking or just save money by paying for less cigarettes?

I'm not trying to quit.

With the tax-level on tobacco in this country, I guess I have finansed a small hospital by now.

It's NOT something I'm proud of!

A standard smokers complaint, and one reason I have never started, I wouldn't be able to afford it.

I predict they'll be back smiley - smiley

I know I am. H2G2 is part of my morning routine now...get up, feed the chickens, brush the horse, feed the guinea fowl, feed the cats and dogs, make coffee, log on...

Then again, it's part of my afternoon and evening routines as well.

But I could quit any time I want to.

H2G2 just fits in wherever I have a break in my day, but I make an effort to be here every dayfor the last couple of weeks since I started.

I can quit whenever I am permanently excluded from using the internetsmiley - smiley

You're right I could quit if I wanted to, but well, why should I want to?

I'm new so I've yet to get the chance to be fully addicted, but I feel a full fledged addiction comming on. I think it's just an outlet for my adiction to the internet, but at least I've found a decent site on which I can waste my time and get something out of it.

WASTE???? Time is not wasted here, it is used constructively to feed those urges we getsmiley - smiley.

I do this to satisfy the little man on my left shoulder who's constantly saying:

"You're missing out, you know you want to be there, go on log in again, there's no problem with it, you aren't addicted really...."

You're right about getting something out of it though, huge phone bills, RSI, Tunnel vision, nervous tick....smiley - winkeye

It's encouraging to see the new folk joining the addiction forums early on though. Sort of admitting straight out that the place is by its very nature a little addictive and that netwroking at the addicts hangout might be a good idea - welcome TOMS (hope you are not offended by the familiarity) I think I may have bumped into you in a chocolate-related place...

I have resigned myself to spending all night here - but I think be judicious online/offline nonsense can keep my phone bills to a minimum. I am certainly not going to give this place up because of them - I enjoy it far too much - real life can wait...

Well, it took me a while to actually find the forums. But once you figure it out, it's a pretty sweet system.

It is fun, once you pluck up enough courage to get involved.

Yeah absolutely, when I first started nosing around I was a bit nervously about 'butting in' to other conversations - but I've found that 'the more the merrier' is a firmly held belief...

please feel free to join any conversations I am involved in.. the whole point, surely is that all these conversations are open and public - if people didn't want you to join in, then they'd find other ways to communicate - participate, enjoy and get addicted - you know it's good for you smiley - smiley

I totally agree, tho I have just got the phone bill for last month and it has far too many figures on it for my liking, but I have found something which almost stops me going on line...getting very very drunk. I normally don't make it home see, so I can't get to the computer therefore I save money on my phone bill...twisted logic tho cos the night out could pay the phone bill for a month LOL smiley - bigeyes
