Nice One.
I only spotted a single typo - "One h2g2 Researcher reports that both of her dogs are addicted to toads and cannot let them out after dark without supervision"
I think this needs an SHE before cannot.
"I didn't actually know what a billabong was (I gather it's like what we call a backwater or a bayou)" You've never heard Waltzin' Matilda ?

a billabong is a pond or large pool of water, usually out in the middle of nowhere

Well, I mean, sure I've heard Waltzing Matilda - so I know that at least one swagman camped by a billabong - but I never really studied the language in it. Well, perhaps I should - (reads A6035348).
Why, only a dill, or a seppo wouldn't know a billabong from a bush oyster. I must have been opening my lunch while everyone else was studying.
So, anyway - if it's a large pool of water, usually out in the middle of nowhere, then it's what we sandgropers (adapted for western US) call a playa.
Ok, enough yabbing from this piker

*so* annoying when there's a new LED and no clickable link posted to the entry
I'll rectify this lot as soon as I've posted this...

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Well, not so much that I'm thirsty, but here's the thing - just imagine, just picture in your mind, the condition of the toad traders (toad redeemers?) as the day wears on - into town, back to the bush, into town, back to the bush. Finally, they won't have the wherewithal to tote their bag-o-toads into town for the last round - so at that point they'll give up, give whatever beer remains to the toads and everone - toads and toters alike - will just lie in the road bellies up. .
