Thought it sweet to warm toes up in sand,
The North Sea they crossed
Perhaps they were lost
And forming the basis of English wasn't planned!

Er... She sounds like a cook
She played tennis, you schmuck*
* Nothing personal, rv, just struggling for a rhyme. Betty Stove was a Dutch tennis player who played in 27 Grand Slam doubles finals between 1972 and 1981, but only one singles final (Wimbledon, 1977) which she lost to Virginia Wade, the last British winner.

I was playing a lute
and I looked kinda cute
But the cows were still very wary.

Has it really been over a week?
Since I treated that Lute to a tweak
My fingers got stuck
I just couldn't pluck
The strings on that lute with my beak.
The strings on my lute were all broken
