The Berlin Convention was too late in the year to get into the 1778 almanac. It didn't appear until the 1780 (1779 not being published due to the Upper Chigworth fire)

Aha, lets have a read:
Hang on a minute- paragraph 3, clause 2- "This Convention shall only be applicable in the event of air passing through the transfer window"
Now, didn't Dr. Vibenstein close the transfer window? Therefore blocking the air, and allowing the move?
