Chez Sho each of us received a letter from the local municipality yesterday saying that the German government is giving all British citizens resident in Germany 3 months grace period in the case of a Hard Brexit* to submit an application to stay. Including a residence and work permit.
It's a 2 page form which is not onerous. But hopefully since we've all applied for German citizenship we won't need to.
Fingers crossed...

It must be the biggest political mess-up ever... this close to the end-point, and the UK gov, honestly don't even seem to even know what they want from a deal, far less what they want a 'deal' to be... I can't imagine a group of average school kids, say sixth-formers, being able to organise it as badly as the government have managed... Its rather like they've gone out of their way to do it as apaulingly badly as possible...

I don't understand why Theresa May isn't quitting the circus. She's like the guy who complains about having to shovel elephant shit day in and day out, but doesn't want to leave show business

I think her days have to be numbered... - well she's said as much as she said she won't stand again as leader, if they'res another election/she'll step down at the next election....
But, also... I can't see a changer in leader ATM, would change anything much... although I guess a new person could just hault the damn thing, and thereby achieve something that way... At the moment I'm guessing the 'delay' vote, I.E., the third one, is going to be what the UK ends up with... - just throwing it all into the long grass and put off deciding anything - at least that way, remain may still be an option, and hopefully we'll eventually just end up at exactly where we started... within Europe and not outside it leaving is just making less and less sense the closer and closer we get

It is end times. Once again the English have trampled on the Irish AND on the lovely dream that was free movement in Europe. I am still very angry that my grandchildren's generation won't have the opportunities I had * I am old enough to remember when we could only take £50 for a holiday in Europe. I don't have much hope of booze cruises lasting either
*my own grandchildren are Irish, so not affected.

I finally found something that explains much of the problems in negotiating a Brexit deal. And they look quite ... what's the word?... intractable?... Nope, I think the proper term is FUBAR.
