I go with Lennon every time but that's only when I have to give an answer. I think that, actually, they would have been less without each other. What they did/have done as solo artists is built on the foundations of their shared past.
And it is hard to imagine (sorry) John Lennon doing the narration for Thomas the Tank Engine. But we don't have a problem with Ringo doing it.
And now you can all be sad for me. John Lennon was killed on my 17th birthday. So when I was 34 (half of my life with, half without John Lennon) I played all my Beatles stuff and all my Lennon stuff. All day. And my favourite song turns out to be: Girl

I still haven't got over it. What makes me really cry is when Julian Lennon sings - he sounds just the same.
