Sex vs making love
I'm not really here Posted Apr 11, 2005
"Mina, if masturbation is the only time you do it for your own personal pleasure, then you are a more honest woman then me!"
Don't forget I spend a good few years with a reluctant partner - it's never very much fun if the other person isn't enjoying themselves. I wouldn't have sex if all I wanted was my own personal pleasure. I can do that perfectly well on my own.
And sorry for upsetting everyone's tea.

Either quoting or paraphrasing Woody Allen:
'Don't knock masturbation - it's having sex with someone I love'.
Also, the idea that sex can *only* be mutually satisfying if two people are in love with each other is a bit of a myth, I reckon.
I happen to prefer sex with someone I love, but I've also had quite good sex with people I simply liked a lot. Likewise, I've had quite disastrous sex with people I loved.
So the idea of 'sex vs making love' seems a personal concept - even to the extent of what those two terms mean.

You won't get any argument from me... I have had very fulfilling sex with people I like but am not emotionally involved in. But there were some who I had sex with cos I had an itch needed to scratch it and if they got something out of it great, but I wasn't losing any sleep...
And very disasterous sex with a ex-fiancee!
I find Mina's stance very admirable... it's just the solo symphony doesn't always cut the mustard.

The best sex of my life was ten months with someone I wasn't even going out with, and my last boyfriend who I liked but didn't love.
The people I've been in love with, it's been ok, but no fireworks. I realise I'm probably the odd one out here.
Solo isn't always enough though - I agree with that. Sometimes it's better that the alternative though.

I'd be interested to see how many men agree with that. Solo pursuits seem to hold a higher estimation among the male population.
And it's not just because we're a bunch of filthy masturbating monkeys, honest.

Now B, are you absolutely sure about that last statement?

It was disasterous *not* cheap and I should point out he was still my fiance at the time!

Hmm...amongst the best experiences Ive everhad sharing the Funky Badger Love(tm) have been with people where we've been so drunk i doubt even they could remeber their own names at the time let alone even spell the word love.
But it was love a love of our bodies and life.
Ive had FBL (tm) where one participant thought it was the real thing the sort of love boybands sing about while the other participant thought it was just a purely physical fun thing.
It's all about the individuals perception. Customers often fall in love with prostitutes so are they having sex for money or making love?
Where would you draw the line between the two? When does a gathering become a party?
When does a snack become a feast?
Actually that was one of my old euphamisms for masturbation.
BB: "would you like some sausage for breakfast"
UW: "Not this morning love"
BB: "Well I'll just have myself a quick snack then"
one love
