And marching past the serried ranks of the media who, tripods set up, knew exactly the best spot to be at.
I've not been following this story too closely but I've struggled to understand China "demanding" this and that from the Malaysians.

It could be argued that access to decent design software, the internet, and high quality home printers isn't exactly difficult these days.
And there's so many different media outlets hanging around like vultures waiting for a story that it's not unlikely.
Not saying that's what it is, but it could be.

Max Clifford reckons that he is an average sort of chap. Or so say people who have seen him in the shower.

I now know more about Mr Clifford than I ever wanted to know.
Still. Snigger.

Without venturing into any prediction of the cases outcome.
I must admit there is a certain amount of joy in a prolific publicist getting more publicity than he would like.
*Penis* humour is of course a bonus
So long as the subject doesn't turn to the jury might be able to maintain a degree of composure.

Once more people advising the government show a total lack of understanding of how the internet works: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26779639
The basis of the recommendation is that any porn company that wants to sell to people in the UK must do age verification checks, using credit cards. This isn't just for their paid content, but also for their free content.
So, flaws in this...
The majority of porn online is free. This is a pretty huge flaw, the paid for porn industry is shrinking quite quickly. The free porn industry is growing, making its money of adverts.
So what this will in effect do, is stop the few remaining paid for porn companies from selling to the UK.
Except it won't stop them distributing to the UK.
One of the problems that is quite rife in the industry, and it always has been, is other companies redistributing images and videos. This previous problem will show the companies a way to get around the block. All they'll need to do is create a new company, and distribute through that for free, advertising their paid for company.
So what will this actually achieve? Sound bites. It'll purely show that in the run up to a general election, the government is doing something to protect the children.
Which it isn't, even their much lauded IP filter was a massive failure.
Oh, I know about the industry because I used to write anti-porn software, not because I partake of it

Not only do they not understand the internet, they have made it clear they have no intention of learning to understand the internet.
They are dinosaurs, and we know what happens to them eventually.
But in the meantime we all have to put up with stupid ideas like this.
