I heard a rumour to the effect that Miss India has been told to give up her title because she told a wee fib and is NOT 24 or under. As a woman of late twenties myself, just how extremely offensive is that? No, you're only allowed to be the prettiest woman in your country if your are practically young enought to be jail-bait, never mind the fact you've ALREADY been voted the prettiest. Grrr.
Look, I really need to go and get some coffee. Since when did I give a flying for-crying about beauty pageants? Please excuse me.

Hi Agapanthus,
I have to agree, to state that after a woman turns 25 that she can no longer compete against younger women in the looks department is … is… (I can’t even think of a word to express how stupid that is.).
On the other hand, I would like to know why the Miss India officials made the 24 or under rule.

Single competition almost always has an age limit or atleast age catagories. Lying on an entry form should have repocussions reguardless of other details.
