What tune do you have stuck in your head right now?

Fiona Apple is one of my favorites
As soon as I read the earlier post for one of her songs "Criminal" sprang into my head and wont leave.
"...and it's a sad, sad, world, when a girl will break a boy, just because she can..."

"Sidewinder" by REM. Can anyone tell me what the hell that line is that sounds like "Only in Jamaica"?

Just had a look round some song lyric sites and it seems to be:
"Call me when you try to wake her up."

The can can is serious, try singing the National Anthem as a last resort to disappear it.
Just listened to Sidewinder with lyrics, yup, you are right. How the hell he can manage to fit all those words into such a small space amazes me. But "call me in Jamaica" probably makes just as much sense!
Now onto "6345789" i seem to be onto phone stuff, maybe 'cos the phone bill finally got paid!
(compilation tapes from other people are evil! Usually unlabelled, i had one just called "side A:thingy/various/very various/mega various: side B : weird. Plus recently acquired one labelled "it ain't s**t, it's artistic!)

That weird song that goes:
You say potato, I say potata
You say tomato, I sat tomata
Potato, potata, tomato, tomata
Let's call the whole thing off
It's probably famous for something or other, and this bothers me because I haven't a clue what it is.

Alex
'you say potato' comes from 'Lets call the whole thing off' sung by (amongst others) Ella Fitzgerald
it is as you rightly say famous

That's a relief, I thought I was going insane.

Now it's "Magical Trevor"
Everyone loves Magical Trevor
Cos the tricks that he does are ever so clever
Look at him now, disappearing a cow
Where is the cow heading right now?
Taking a bow, it's Magical Trevor
Everyone can see that the trick is clever
Look at him there with his leathery, leathery whip
It's made of magic, and with a little flip
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the cow is back
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the cow is back
Back, back, back from his magical journey
What did you see, in the parallel dimension?
He saw beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, lots of beans
Yeah beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, lots of beans
The whole thing is stuck in my head...

"Whay yay yay yay really gotta hold on meeeeeee"
Went to the Big Gig today [memo to self: remember to remove earplugs at bedtime] and that was one of the few songs I recognised. I'm just too old for pop concerts.
