Why is it that whenever I post anything new these days, it always appears on screen as having been posted "4 minutes ago"? Whatever happened to the rather sexy and urgent "Just now"?

I noticed the same thing yesterday. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the system is now time-stamping messages from the time we actually hit the "Reply" button, and not from the time we hit "Post Message." Why this would be the case is beyond me, but it's plausible enough.

I think that's right, because I took ages over one reply once, and the time on it was something like '8 minutes ago'.

Hi,
I am in the year 2003. Hows that for time travelling!

Nothing has changed, it will just be h2g2 running slowly and taking 4 minutes to load the page.
