Specifically, a battery operated digital bathroom scale, which I borrowed to weigh some PC equipment I plan to list on eBay. so I have an idea what it'll cost to ship.

To be honest, neither do I. I assume it's about 25cm x 25cm x 30cm. My object would just about fit into a box that size. I don't have a tape measure handy however so make of that what you will.
