Dispite occasional glances of my USpace where I could see this conversation but couldn't access it....even via askh2g2 as a logged out person
Very frustrating....although I'm back up to date with the Ouch! and One Life message boards....oh and I did some work too

I think they do this purposely to remind us there IS a world outside of h2g2.

I didn't find a world out there. In fact, all I found were barren cold landscapes with tiny little monkeys that wore striped ties and ate frozen fish.

Yep - no conversations anywhere, couldn't sign in, no researchers - I tried 'search for friends'
But its all better again now

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jan 30, 2003
I've only just got back on a little while ago aside a couple of points in the day where it briefly let me back on.... What do with no h2G2? Well, I looked outside, loverly two or three inchs of snow, and drifts because of the wind so I didn't go outside... I don't think the house has ever looked so clean

It's too windy outside for me.
WHere's MY snow?
No h2g2. No snow. No job.
What a great day today has been.

Dunno...I'm wondering why there hasn't been an announcement on the announcements page - at least then we'd know when it was down and when it would most likely be back

Given we haven't got new entries for today, I guess they're rather busy running around like headless ducks - sorry, chickens - trying to fix it...
It's horrid. I hate going to my userpage and it being blank. It's like someone you love not recognising you.
I've ended up tidying as a displacement activity... hmm, can you tell if a stranger is a hootooer by the stae of their house?

"Hey, that's a lot better, have you worked out what the controls do?"
"No, I just stopped pushing buttons"
Sorry for the inaccuracy but I ain;t got the book to hand....

Hi guys!
I know you are very keen for an announcement about when the service will be back up however we are experiencing the same problems as you! We access the site on the same servers - so when you can't get in, neither can we!
I am going to put something on the front page now.

When this happened yesterday in work, my paranoid side thought it might be my huge corporations IT bods putting a block on my activities and a pink slip would follow...EEEEK!!!
Getting home and seeing the problems there eased my nervousness... unless the b******s are now poking their noses in my home affairs... (looks around nervously in paranoid fashion...)
I guess I'm happy it's not me though I suppose... , although I'd rather it didn't happen... not much else I can do in work except... , work!
