Why not just regard everyone as a potential friend until you get to know them? Then take it on from there? Why make snap judgements BEFORE you know someone?I never ever consider is this person gay, straight, bisexual.I wonder are they kind, generous, friendly, trustworthy, interesting. In other words I'm looking for their positive, good points BEFORE I make any judgement. If I ever do.
I've said it before why do we concentrate on the differances and not the similarities between us and why do we always fix on the negative aspects to a person and not the positive?
Incog.

There's a northern expression - There's nowt so queer as folk (when queer meant strange)- it can take a long time to get to know what people are really like. Too many people make snap judgements based on very little evidence.
An friend of mine was a keyboard player in a group at a holiday camp. Of the three musicians in the band, he was by far the best looking and all the girls loved to make eyes at him. What they didn't know was, he was gay. He was one of the nicest people you could wish to meet but when the management found out, the band's contract was not renewed.
