Walk Anyone?
GreyDesk Posted Jun 25, 2001
The trick is to live where everyone works ie a town centre and work in the suburbs. Its what I've always done and it suits me just fine.
Walk Anyone?

I live three miles away from my place of work. When the weather is good (Montana is known for some awful weather--at any time of year) I walk. It takes about an hour because I wander here and there, check out interesting houses, introduce myself to various cats, and stop in at a bakery for some fresh pasties. It's very relaxing, especially on the walk home from work. Kinda like a scuba diver decompressing while surfacing.

Uh, that would be fresh *pastries*. Not pasties--which, by the way are actually a pastry filled with beef and turnips.

When I worked in Australia, I lived one end of Manly beach and the office was the other end. 7 minutes on clean golden sand. Or deliberately get up earlier and watch the life guards training
