Taped Se7en last night, came to watch it today, found that the machine stopped recording before the film was over.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!!
I got to the bit where they are under the pylons, Somerset has opened the box and is looking horrified. It was a great film up to then, but I need to know. This is the type of thing that keeps me awake at night.

But that's not the rest of story. He (Somerset) kills the se7en killer (sorry but I forgot his name) becoming the sin of vengance and Se7en dies because he become the sin of envy. Se7en was envious of Somerset's life, good wife/girlfriend, a job he loved, friends.....
So only the sin of vengance (Somerset) lives at the end, but he is being taken off to jail for blowing Se7en's head off.
There - now I really spoilt it for everyone else.

Thankyou very much, both of you
I purposely wrote quite a long first post so that if someone saw I was asking for the ending and didn't want to know then they wouldn't read on.

Hang on, wasn't William Somerset the Morgan Freeman character? It was the Brad Pitt character (Mills?) who shot the un-named Se7en killer.
(Which is obvious anyway since Morgan Freeman's character has no wife).
P.S. Have you noticed how the film how the word 'giraffe' is not used in ANY scene?

It's be a while since I have seen the movie, so I not sure of the characters' names. Brad Pitt's character was the one with the wife, who opened the box with said wife's head in it, shot and killed the Se7en killer, and was taken to jail for killing Se7en.
I hope this clears up any confusion or let's rent the movie and watch it again. I'll bring the popcorn and beer.

I'd rent the film if you want it to make any sense: as a result of their desire to put the film in an early slot the BBC made some very crude edits which one of the murders incomprehensible.
Key: Complain about this post
