All of those are still available here.
There was a soft drink that was only around very briefly here at least called 'Mountain Dew' I think, used to turn your tongue a funny colour, really liked that, never see it the shops.

Does anyone remember the name of a sweet which looked like spearmint Opal Fruit/ Starburst which I think I first saw in the late seventies.

there used to be a thing called spanish gold.
it was shreds of toasted coconut, wrapped up in packages to resemble sweet tobacco..

One thing that has puzzled me is that penny chews (blackjacks roobarb and custads) were a penny right, and they still are a penny, but, allowing for inflation, they shouldn't be a penny anymore. So were we as children being overcharged? or are we being undercharged now? are penny chews a bargain in todays economic climate? are they now being made by cheap foriegn labour? how does it work? ahh who cares, to be honest I always preferred them vaguely plasticky tasting violent pink foam shrimps anyway.
