(Pretty much) any image that you have on your PC or that you find on the web will do the job.
Point at it with your mouse, right click and choose "set as background".
Presto.
Of course, big pictures work best, small ones tend to be pixelated.
Have a look at this site (sometimes NSFW).

It's a blog who's owner searches the interweb for interesting photos.

feel free to use any of the shots in my gallery.Landscpae shots work alot better on the desktop. Have a browse, there are some great gallerries on there; i am not sure about the copyright issues-some are by proffessionals so you would definately need permission, if you really like a shot leave a comment/compliment, and maybe ask if you can use it .

Good idea for a thread!
Here's mine:

The picture's from a scan of an early sci-fi book. I try to keep it as uncluttered as possible, so I have only the calendar, recycle bin, the projects I'm currently working on (the script for the next Anarchy Gordon, some Ireland photos from KB for the writeup, the manual for Neverwinter Nights, the pictures that had to be sent to the Eds to be blobbed for , and a font I have yet to install) plus shortcuts to my addresses, Uni folder, comics folder, and hootoo folder.
I hate shortcuts cluttering everything up.

You can have menthol, but I think I'm breaking the rules a little by putting photo's up, but I don't know maybe it is alright for just a couple.
You can get a free website at godaddy.com but it is full of ads.
