My wife is afraid of it but most farmers have them to cut around the Tambo including my MIL.
My wife has one only it's electric with fishing line.

At about 4:30 pm I sat on the deck and had a couple of can's of beer waiting for the side grass to go into shade which happened at about 5:15 pm, then I went for a run around the side of the house with my 4 stroke honda, just come in and gonna make me some hot dogs for dinner cause that is about as much as I want rite now

That sounds a mean machine moonraker, but sometimes you need one if the thing you are cutting is tough!
It is said to reach 32c soon and felt nearly 30c yesterday and so hot I sat in shade. There is an amature Jazz In The Park thing later in local park which I might go to. There is some shade from trees so should be ok, not sure 3 hours in direcct nearly 30c sunshine is something I am up to these days! It is free so no money at risk like having to buy a ticket beforehand. No one famous is playing though, but could be fun and relaxing if not too busy. My Tinitus in ears means not sitting too close to loudspeakers these days, however I suspect no amplification will be used as a small event and Jazz bands are playng rather than say just a couple of Sax players. It could be fun though so might/will pop along as just a short bike ride away.
At the moment I usually just decide whether to go or not to events just a few minutes before I need to leave as takes the stress away of worrying for hours beforehand!

They reckon about 30c today and they think this summer England might beat the record of 101.4f. I think it is around 102f anyway as it was written in paper a few days ago, I am sure someone will correct me if wrong ,lol!
I am going for a quick swim in a few mins before it gets too hot or busy!

I noticed it about ten hours ago. I made a posting and it showed uo as being made 59 minutes ago on the actual posting and 'just now' on the converstaion list. On yje converstation list is soon switched to one hour. i'll see how it goes with this

On the posting iot says 'just now' on the conversation list on my space 'one hour'... a problem with the 'minutes' counter perhaps. Strange though, 10 jours ago it was the opposite. Or maybe it's random

They seem to say (59 mins) at the moment you post and then immediately switch!
I though it was me the first time I noticed it yesterday. Also I found that yesterday the site was very 'slow', that seems OK today though

I'm reviving this thread because I've not heard from SS or AGM in a long time. Wassup chaps?
I am waiting patiently for the carpet fitters to arrive, and also for the plumber to ring to let us know when he can fit an outside tap. Earlier this summer ( I have a faint recollection that it was actually hot ) we thought it would be a good idea to have a tap fitted so that we could fill our watering cans and water our garden more easily. Obviously this new tap will never get used once its fitted due to the incessant rainfall. My feet are getting webbed. We do have waterbutts btw, but they weren't sufficient. Now even these are surplus to requirements.

lanza, mainly assorted long tail, blue tits, etc in garden at moment. Lovely to see yet more young blackbirds though.
