"Whoop-de-do for you! A grown person folowing the laws of your land...do you want a medal or something?"
If that's the level of your input Blicky, are you honestly surprised that Rev's not too enamoured with carrying on this discussion??

I have to agree with psy... A rare occurrence.
There was no need for that post picking everything that was said apart, oout of context and with, seemingly, little intelligence either. I see no point in argiung points that take no notice of the whole... The original post was reasonable and well rounded and putting across a point of viw. Up until now, blicky, I've applauded your posts, but that was ridiculous and unnecessary.
Making a point is one thing, stuffing your own agenda down someone else's throat, regardless of what they say or do is quite another.

Psyc Im barely interested as to Rev's intentions about posting what I find interesting is the odd fact that he says he wont and then does.
ramming it down his throught now who's talking rubbish.
Lots of people dont like what I post they can simply get to my name and not read it. In this situation how you get tothe conclusion that Im ramming anything down the throat of anyone is beyond me.
If you dont like my conclusions that undermine my arguments if you find what like repelent then ignore it what's so hard about that?
Believe it or not I dont sit here waiting for praise I enjoy frivlous posting abotu daft things reading about stuff I dont know about and yes arguing with people who's ideas are different to mine. I dont need and prefer it if people present me with different ideas.
one love

Moi?! an Innuendo? never!... I thought I was useually as blunt as a really blunt thing that has been specially bluntened in a scientific blunting machine Noticed going back to smoking, that the pubs round here picked up a bit* when the students came back to town, but now its got cold they've turned into graveyards again At a pub the other night where yet again, despite it being cold outside, the majority of the people were at one point all standing outside in teh cortyard at the back I think shortly as the weather turns colder I'll pretty much give up on the pub and just take beer round friends so we can at leasst sit in the warm and comfet

I've been chatting many of you Brit folks for well over 3 years. And have a general idea of your climates (respective regions). I am a Canuck, and have again found myself visiting various corners of the country. And finding even hotels that do not offer smoking accomodations. So if I can awaken at 3 am, and step out to the -35C weather for a puff, ... Is it so difficult at a pub to step out?

Its not that its difficult per sai (though it is in a lot of the pubs near me, which have no rear garden, no courtyard, and open directly onto a pavement maybe a foot and half swide, and thence onto a busy main road), Its that its seeming so much easier to stay in with beer costing half the price than it is to go somewhere and then stand outside (often not being able to take the beer out with you)

Please do forgive me on this one. I've had many years to adapt to the idea ... And for you it's fairly recent. But yeah, I guess we went through the same discomforts and adaptations for a time.

So, now it's the smokers who are considering not bothering with going out and spending too much on beer when they could be at home where it's cheaper ANd they conditions suit... It used to be the non-smokers who had to do that... Fair's fair!
