Cathedrals and the fact that they exist because of the human desire to believe that death isn't final.

What amazes me?
How someone manages to actually miss a toilet and the end result is a turd on the floor. How?
And even worse, how does someone manage to get what is clearly just a section of turd stuck to the toilet wall? Does someone sit there and think "Right, all done, I think I'll just chuck a bit up the wall". Jeez.

That mankind generally thinks it is the most intelligent life-form on the planet. Or the general overall arrogance of Mankind, I suppose.
But that's negative amazement.
Positive amazement is how beautiful bare trees look with a sprinkling of snow over them.

My father amazes me. Staring death in the face, he's not uttered one word of self-pity, all he cares about is how my Mum is going to cope when he's gone.

yes it was 2legs. no, but the liver will stop functioning, stop producing proteins for cell production, and you will die. oh, and it will stop every other one os the 500 jobs it does. and, the process is irreversible, if a bit is gone, it is gone forever.

So what happened to your liver, then, 2legs?
I would suggest some one probably "enjoyed it with fava beans and a nice chianti" but it was probably pre-marinaded anyway!

The liver is capible of a lot of regeneration, to an extent, I.E., once the damage is very bad it won't regenerate but can when less of a damage hapening.... My livers in great shape work it out down the gym on vodka and whisky
