Say Something, Stupid

There's a guy like that at work here as well. He curses at his computer very loudly, the phone when it rings, whenever anyone says anything that he doesn't like....
Some days it's really annoying, while at other times it just sort of blends into the background.
I think he does that so that people will remember that he's still there and not forget about him.

I work in an open plan office, directly across from my boss, so most people in the immediate vicinity hear me cursing it .
I also tell the phone to off because I'm not going to answer it, if it starts ringing when I'm already in the middle of something.

hit post too early...
I don't always swear at everything, just on busy days and when I have PMT . (Especially when I have PMT as it feels like things are playing up just to get on my .)

Same here, then. Open plan office. This guy seems to be on permanent PMT, then.

Dunno... never thought of it like that!
Here's a belter of a stupid comment.
Some weeks ago, a manager came by my desk to talk to me (having never seen me face to face before) and the very first thing he said to me was "I was expecting you to be a man!"
I know that my first name can be a bloke's name as well (it's Lindsay), but still....

Yet more Plastic Scouser stupidity. The other night, the electric ran out, and my meter is in the hallway, which involves a walk outside to switch the supply over to emergency. So...
Me: I'm going to put the 'leccy back on, but I can't find my slippers.
Him: Put the light on then.

I didn't say anything stupid... but one of the most stupid acts I caught myself in was in 1985, London... I was there on a sort of student trip. There was this cute girl from another town in Texas on the bus about ten seats behind me... as we made a corner I tried to get a glimpse of her as we turned a corner by looking out of my window!
