h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

now I have been very busy lately with painting and drawing to do
puppies to walk/train and cooking to do on a very rare
(and I'll see that it stays that way) occation

last weekend I went up to the lakes with Khamsin, Willow and the rest of the family,

it was a beutiful day, the sun was shining there wasn't much wind
and the water was wonderfully calm
the sceanary was beutiful, and really made me think of home back in scotland.
we went to the Rankin (?) house, and sailed on the lake on a solar powered boat...
followed by a walk in a woodland filled with carvings and sculptures of animals,
Willow loved it, I was lost for words, and Kham couldnt stop taking photos
I can't wait to go back and to have such a wonderful day again
it just dosnt normally happen.

now as to the subject of my journal Willow
well young willow entered a dog competition yesterday down at the river (wyre i think.... cant quite remember)
entered in the catagory for dogs with waggy tails
now young willow came third in the competition and won a dogtoy,
he was very happy for all the attention and enjoyed himself
but i think he was robbed of victory
in first place was a spanial called tetly,
now tetly kept growling at willow so that marks him down in my books from the start
second, tetly had a docked tail
now i dont know but in my oppinion that should mean marks off in a waggy tail competition, there was no way the judges could count the waggs plus i doubt that since the dog had no tail to speek of it should have been entered at all
second came an alsation who wasnt really wagging his tail than his whole body as he jumped around after a toy
where as in comparison Willow was very well behaved and wagged his tail delightedly as he sniffed at the flowers and grass, and dogs, and.....

maybe i am biased.... but really... a dog with no tail wins a tail wagging compitition....

what is the world coming to?

hello stranger, hows you doing. What breed of dog is Willow and are you training him/her as a guide dog.
On another note, your a damm sight happier that when I "met" you months back, whilst upNorth..and that makes me happy as well.
PS.turnips doing well, now in second grade(you have a mention in my p/space

just be happy the dog wags the tail... and not the tail wags the dog
a philosophy the world seems so ready to follow.
one always takes great pride in ones own.... a certain 'parent' blindness? yet as you say how can a dog without a tail win a tail wagging competition? (oh oh, theres a politcal comment possible here?) How can a leader without support win an election?....Judges! hehehe

tell willow from me, You was robbed!

Willow is a king Charels Cavaleer Spanial
with a ruby coat and a white tip on the end of his tail
at the moment he's mastered the trick of "sit"
when tempted by a toy or treet
and he's also learning to play fetch and to swim...

in other words he's having great fun

but... a dog with no tail... come on

has he mastered house training yetgot to know how to pull chain after

he is mostly house trained,
a few little accedents now and again
but he asks out when he needs it and has a good run around when he's out
he likes eating vegitables... and flowers,
his favorate at the moment being cherry tree blossom...

he likes eating vegitables. Good job I've got the turnips then

yeah carrots, peppers, apples, orange, onion, letice, leek, potato,
you name it he will probably eat it at least once...

just learning what is what, as any kid would do. How old is he

coming up for 4 months I think...

And he ic cute, just like his mum

well I'm happy, you've got an "animal" in the house, every home should have onewe used to have a golden lab

Yeah,our's is a big hairy beast my mother just adores...
