h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am not having a good day
it started at six am when my mum came into my room saying she could hear singing... it was a silent morning...
she came in meny times asking the same thing... walking around the house
then she forgot my sister has to leave for school and gave me into trouble for waking her...
then she phones gran saying she thinks people are out to kill her

so my gran comes over worried about my mum obviously,
it turns out shes taken twenty times the amount of medication she should have done, and is currently in hospital.

I went to visit, the single most unplesent experience in my life,
I never wanted to see my mum like that
I never thought she had depresion
now shes hearing voices and shes disorientated
she still thinks people are out to get her

I cant take this... I cant bare to see her like that,
I hate my dad for taking me to see her
i am angry at her for doing this
I am angry at myself for not noticing sooner... for not doing something
I hate this all...

I will be running off to the navy, Sorry Joe, but i have to make my own mistakes in life. I cant sit around and see her helpless...
this may be a terrable reason to join
it may be the worst reason ever.
I dont care at the moment

My mum will survive, she has my dad and my sister. but i cant...
so i am going to join up
dont anyone try to stop me... dont you dare

you come and tell me you know what this is like, then you say at 17 your mother almost killed herself!
then say you didnt want to run away

thing is i have somewhere to run to, and i wanted to join so i figure, why not?

Go for it Anth your mum has support at home and she is in the best place,

DON'T feel guilty about leaving, you will regret it for the rest of your life, get out before you change your mind of have it changed for you

And I'm not heartless I have seen this kind of thing happen before, people putting their lives on hold to because they feel guilty about leaving home, they end up festering in hate.

I'm so sorry, Anthea. I can't even pretend to know what you're going through. We're all here if you want to talk.

I kinda know what you're going through, my mum was a complete and utter bitch when she went through 'The Change' if I had the money I would have left like a shot and not looked back.

Oh man, this is harsh. If it's any consolation, my mom drinks rather a lot, so I kind of have some idea of what you're going through, albeit on a smaller scale.

well...
news is my mum saw the psychiatric nurse this morning,
and she now has to stay in hopital for longer than expected
though shes been moved wards


still so worried about her, but i cant go see her...
I just cant see her like she was last night

Now I see why Dani was telling me to read this, and I'm kinda glad I took the 5 times it took me to do it...
