*sigh*
*isn't joining, but*
What's your objective? Do you know what the SBVM was? How long have you used h2g2 for?

Don't scare them away! If there are TWO small but vocal minorities, maybe we can join them to each other and overcome the smallness or minority status sooner.

But that's part of my point!
The original SBVM was disbanded. Have these people not wondered /why/ yet?
Above questions still stand, plus:
Why do you think the original SBVM was disbanded? What is your position on h2g2 moderation? If you want to scrap it, how do you want to replace it? Why do you think the BBC would do so because /you/ tell them to?
More coming up...

"Why do you think the original SBVM was disbanded?"
Well, y'know Robert, the main thing was that we got tired of the groupies. Day and night, night and day... there's only so much sex and adulation a freedom fighter can take. With the hectic SBVM party schedule, it was just getting impossible to get any work done at all.
These guys are young, they've got energy; I say the best of luck to 'em.

(There *may* have been another reason, but the test results won't be back for another week or so... my attorney says I shouldn't comment at this time. )

Shhh. Don't draw attention to it.
The nSBVM are actually sponsered by myself MoG and KerrAvon (who will deny it if asked directly about it).
We decided we needed a breeding ground for fresh young male groupies.
Et voila! - Hands of 'em. They are nice and innocent young children, and we don't want them sullied by anyone else.

Actually, the SBVM rarely did anything in agreement with each other. Many of them disagreed about how exactly h2g2 should be reformed or controversies over people who have been banned. Even disbanding was more like an announcement by Lucinda that he would close the club, and only 4 or 5 members bothering to comment.
Anyhow, that group was mostly formed as a joke, without the intent to move mountains in h2g2 moderation policy. We talked with each other on SBVM pages, but as far as I know, there were never any organized group actions to change anything on h2g2.
Maybe I'm taking this too seriously, but those questions directed to the New SBVM seem serious. I doubt that Moo-cow and company are intending anything very serious by forming a New SBVM. [No offense. Not being very serious can be a good thing.]
"Why do you think the BBC would do so because /you/ tell them to?"
If h2g2 is anything like a community, then requests for changes shouldn't be dismissed just because one person or a small group asks for it.

I was ambling through some of the SBVM threads yesterday. What happened was that a variety of heavy-s**t was going down on site. Names were called. Flames were fired. Insults were thrown.
Lucinda offered anyone who wanted the opportunity to pick up on one of those insults and wear it as a badge of pride, and as a way of reminding the insulters just how insulting they had been. A highly diverse bunch of people chose to do so for a variety of reasons.
The SBVM had no agenda, no objectives and no purpose. It was just a bunch of misfits misfitting together for a while.

So this counts as making h2g2 sticky, does it?

Oh b******s! Does that mean we've been playing their game all along without realising it? Subversion from the inside! Not fair.... That's like painting your room black, only to discover your mother wanted you to!
