A Conversation for Talking Point: Things you were told when young
First Logic Lesson

This is actually a case of an early lesson that was good. In my first school experience (kindergarten, about 5 years old), I got some kind of nasty ink or paint all over my hands. The teacher and another adult were trying to wash it off, but it was virtually indelible. With lunch coming up, I was kind of concerned about this, but one of them said, "Well, if it won't come off with all this scrubbing, it won't come off in his food." Sounded good to me, so I happily ate my sandwich.
