Just found out Stuart Adamson from 'Big Country' died. What a shock.Another suicide!Seems the world just aint the right place for some people.

I always think of the film "Restless Natives" when I think of Big Country. That was a great film - with an ace sound track!

You're right! I have been pretending much of the world didn't exist just at present.What about you? You were talking about being made redundant. Whats the news?

Without wishing to drop a big clangy name.......One new year in Glasgow, I got astoishingly rip-roaringly drunk with Stuart after a Big Country gig.

I have absolutely no memory of what we talked about.

Sorry for the delay. About the redundancies, they've done it in 3 stages. Some people are leaving today, and last night was their night out. Lots of us went to it, and as you can imagine there are quite a few hangovers in the office today!
Some people are leaving at the end of March (so I suppose there will be another p*ss up then) and the rest of us are leaving at the end of June. It will be a bit depressing between April and the end as there will only be a handful of us left.

Devoid - that's quite cool meeting Stuart! I've never been in Glasgow for new year. I'm from Edinburgh originally and I used to go to the street party but in the past couple of years we've just brought the new year in at my sister's. But it's quite cool because from her back garden you can see the castle and all the fireworks.

Hiya to be honest the last time I was in Glasgow for New Year, was probably about 15 years ago, so God knows what it is like now.

Thanks guys! I've been offered a position in France but I don't think I'll take it. Nothing against France or moving abroad, but I'd rather take the redundancy package and take my chances looking for another job
I'll probably do some travelling for a while, see a bit of the world, might even do some of the travelling on my lovely motorbike!
