You appear to be something of an expert in the field of one hit wonders, and there's one in particular that I'm trying to trace - but I don't know the title! It's a hip hop record by a single white male artist, and for the most part he is (for reasons I am unaware of) he seems to be mostlt rapping in a sewer. Musically, it's very much like one of those laid back mixes Pete Rock did for the likes of Public Enemy and House of Pain. It was made somewhere in the early nineties - 92 to 94 I think. Ring any bells with anyone?

Ulp - sounds tricky to guess without a name or a title. Was this a US or UK hit?
If it's in a sewer, it's quite possibly one of the many songs to come from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films. Here's a link to the IMDB tracklisting for the first film - you can check through others by clicking on 'Movie Connections' on the left hand side.

Single white male rap artist though - surely that's Vanilla Ice
Other than that though, I'm blank, sorry.

I was also going to suggest MC Tunes with "The Only Rhyme that Bites", only that's one song that coud never be called "laid-back".
