Achy Breaky Heart?

As an American, I take offence at the lack of mention of one of our greatest(?) one hit wonders, Billy Rae Cyrus. I realize that this timeless (because it seems to last forever) and priceless (because you couldnt give it away) bit of American tradition is not for everyone(read anyone), but just for that reason, it deserves at least to be ranked in. After the song launched the (albeit) short lived craze of line-dancing, the song, the man and the craze (thankfully) fell out of the public eye, to be spoken of only as the butt of a joke or snide remark about the American southlad. For Cripes sake, Weird Al Yankovic even parodied the song for the express purpose of saying that he would much rather hear lousy overplayed songs from such groups as the Osmonds and, I believe, Zamfir, than Achy Breaky Heart again. So once again, i must protest the lack of Billy Rae from the list.

(To any fans of the above mentioned groups, it was not my intention to mailign these sickening artists in any way, shape, or form.

Ah, the great cross-over king. A fair few hits in the American Country chart, but very few in the Billboard. Like Chris Isaak, that hasn't stopped him releasing loads of albums and moving into acting. Unlike Chris Isaak, Billy Ray's kind of tainted with his breakthrough being a bit of a novelty record. If you hear any of his follow-ups, like 'It Could've Been Me', you hear such a change in tone...
