Here, do you want some smiley - popcorn ? What's Gammel Dansk? I take it that it's a beer from Denmark? Must try some.

Not exactly a beer - but goes very well with it (if you don't care about eventual (!) intoxication smiley - drunk). A533783 has the details... (I hope... smiley - winkeye)

But have anything you like - drinks are on 195669 anyway smiley - smiley

No, you can't spring a party on the 100,000th researcher and say to them, by the way you're buying the drink for your 99,999 new-found colleagues. Oh, I get it... the BBC is supplying it to 195669 free of charge, and then 195669 is giving it to us. Yeah, that's better. smiley - biggrinsmiley - cheers

I wonder if my local package store in
Boston (Massachusetts) carries Gammel Dansk.

Question: If putting herbs in alcoholic
beverages is such an attractive practice,
why isn't it done more? Does it make drinks
too expensive to make?

Just read the article. Gammel Dansk sounds like good stuff. Gotta make a mental note to try it when I get back to the Netherlands(Or next time I'm in Scandinavia :D)

but for now I'll go for smiley - bubbly and smiley - stiffdrink. And yes I think that putting herbs in drinks makes them a bit more expensive. And the trick probably is to also find the right ones. after all it apperently took the Danes 3 years.

Anyway, enough being serious. smiley - cheers
