May must be a popular month for new peeps around this place- Woodpigeon's just has his eighth hootoo anniversary, and today's my fifth!
For me, it's more the people than the place. But the place is cool, too. If I can ever sneak another entry past PR and a sub-ed without anyone introducing grammatical and syntax errors that didn't exist when I wrote it, maybe one day I'll get another one in the EG and things will have come full circle.

Thank you all! It's people like you that make this place so much fun.
Of course, the virtual and
doesn't hurt, either.

You and I share a birthday in RL, though, Skanky- aren't you just five years younger than I?

I do, in fact!
I'll be twenty-fifteen this year , so my beloved K and I plan to have a nice dinner at my most favoritest Mexican place, El Barco. We'll probably go on Saturday the 12th. This coming Sunday, my grandma and uncle are having us for dinner, and I anticipate garlic bread and carrot cake with enough candles on it to disrupt flight patterns.
What sort of plans do you have?

We're off to the races at Newton Abbot, which we did for my 30th as well. This year the races are actually on my birthday, so it should be a really good day out. We're planning to have a barbecue afterwards, but as that would be third one in a week, I might want to change my mind! Funny thing is, Mexican is my preferred alternative...
Incidentally, I'm twentyeleventeen this year, which only makes you four years older than me. Slightly less, in fact, as because of the time difference my birthday starts a few hours earlier than yours

How thoughtful of you to remind me that your birthday in fact begins six hours before mine. Twenty-eleventeen is a nice age, too- I remember it quite fondly.
I'm assuming (and hopefully not making an ass of myself) that the races you're attending are horse races? I've never been.
Though I am kicking myself for not mailing the Father Ted DVD last week, when you might've had it in time for your birthday. We'll get it out this Saturday for sure. I may throw in a couple surprises, as well.
I think it would be nice if we all went for Mexican for both of our birthdays. The only thing nicer would be if we four could all go out together. Maybe next year...

Oooh, a birthday pooh. How nice!
I'm usually pretty bad at remembering dates, which strikes me as odd, given my propensity to remember the most trivial details...

Are you Ok with figs?
Could be you had some sort of traumatic childhood event with dates, which you are repressing....

Congratulations, sticky people.
I think my own anniversary is somewhere round this time, but I don't recall when.
