What's this malarkey at the top of the front page? 'h2g2 - on the sunny side of the street'?
I consider that to be grossly discriminatory against our grumpy community.
I've put a PUDDING response at the top of our page.

Mort - a middle aged Girl Interrupted Posted May 8, 2003
I never noticed that before, how long has it been there? My mind must have blanked it out. I feel tainted now

Ormondroyd Posted May 8, 2003
It's changed now, which is really annoying. I was looking forward to having a good long grumble about that.
But never mind. If they're going to keep changing the front page headline every day, I can keep changing our new headline too.

Should we post to <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>, let them know how we feel, and make sure they never do it again?

Hmm, I don't know. See, we're standing up for our right to be grumpy, but we should make sure that it is voluntary. We protested at being made to be cheery, so we must not force grumpiness on people. Make them add a footnote to the effect that if you don't like being cheery, you should come to PUDDING.

Is there any TV- specialist section within PUDDING? TV is the ultimate grump's occupation, there should be something of the sort. How impressions shows are tired old samey sketches, and how people laugh because it is comedy, not that it is comedy because people laugh. TV is the perfect time to be in a grump, cheery people on the screen and, if done alone, no- one to hear you muttering.

Well, Roadkill, there's plenty of TV characters in both the Heroes and Enemies sections...
I've just seen this wonderful 9 Chickweed Lane cartoon. Very PUDDING indeed! http://www.comics.com/comics/chickweed/archive/chickweed-20030508.html

Ah true, I had forgotten about that.
The cartoon is very good indeed. Appropriately sarcastic.

Have you seen one of the edited entries on today's front page? It's called
'Reasons to be cheerful' - the song
*shudder*

The horror! The horror!
Still, it's given me an idea for another PUDDING song: 'Reasons To Be Grumpy, Parts 1-100'
I'm still doing my best to undermine the dreadful positivism of the front page headlines with daily PUDDING versions.
