My First Googlewhack
Mu Beta Started conversation Apr 25, 2004
Having just finished reading Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure (a damn fine book, as I'm sure many of you knew), I realised I had never tried this pastime for myself.
So, in a spare moment I typed in two words to Google. The very first two - and I kid you not - I typed were 'cementite lobsters' (without the quotes, obviously). Try it yourself - not bad for the first go, eh?

I keep trying to finish that book. I occasionally aim for it, but something always seems to get in the way.
I'll get to the end of it one of these days, I'm sure.
I found a 'whack a few weeks back, but I just can't remember it now. One of the words was 'grandmasters' I know that. Can't place the other one though.

Hee-hee, I did the same thing when I finished the book. Got two or three I think. Great book!

No you're in the clear. Google's bots don't search the converstion forums. In fact they're banned from DNA in its entirity from time to time.

Well, if I put my RL first name and last name into Google in quotes, I get one match; someting I posted to a public site a couple of months ago. If I leave out the quotes, there's seven pages of them, but none have my name. This leads me to believe that I am the only person on the planet who has my name, something I've long suspected (unusual first name with unusual surname).

There's 3 of me. Rarer than a wombat's wingnut, according to the site.

This is the message I received back...
You are unique. You are one with the angry Squirrel. Shout 'I am the unique. I am unified with the badger overlord.' People will run away. That's because they're jealous. JEALOUS..
So, that's me unique in the UK. I suspect in the rest of the world also.
