In your region, is Hallowe'en a time for costumery and a bit of fun? I'd think he's old enough to quite enjoy a bit of the spooky and silly.

He has a werewolf custome *grins* they have a little party at his nursery and I shall take him to his grandmothers house for trick or treat. It's not as big here as it is in America and some kids think they can get away with just wearing a hood pulled up over their heads 
other kids use it as a chance to cause a little trouble I'm afraid

Yeah, in a lot of places and crowds, it is 'justification' for mischief. This littley-city, it's mostly harmless, which is good. Our front door faces a busy residential street, our back-door and driveway to another. So we get 'ghoulies' of all ages, as few as 40 (if it's cold and rainy) to as many as 140'ish. We've enough treat packets for up to 185 !!! Of course, all little munchy stuffs that we can consume later, if needed. 
I'll just bet he's the most feersome werewolf too. I think you have a mail addy or two, and if not, there's one on my PS (near the bottom). I'd love a piccy of him in costume.

I too was always so happy to enjoy the special moments that cameras of what-ever vintage were forgotten. Memories are the best anyway.

Halloween is a pagon ritual not a christian one, it's a bit like asking a muslem to celebrate christmas

except for the fact it's really become a celebration that has nothing to do with anything anymore.. and nobody's asking anyone to celebrate it.. just to not tell others they can't.. a community is filled with people from all different religions and to the best of my knowledge it's nowhere in the bylaws of this community that residents must be a specific religion..
