I have to agree on that.. A&D was far better.. I also read Digital Fortress and whatever his other one is.. I think A&D is the best of the lot of them..

I thought Digital Fortress was rubbish

It was what I used to call "bus reading" when I lived in NYC. Not so interesting it would make me miss my stop.

Having lived in London I know exactly what you mean Batty, Magazines and papers were usually the ones for me but a paperback always lived in the bottom of my bag for the mornings trip into work

Yup. And I can't tell you how many times I had to hoof it back up 5th Ave because I had gotten wrapped up in a really good book. Since then I had home books and bus books.

I tend to do that with my mP3 player these days, the amount of times I'm missed my stop is unbelieveable (Don't get so many traffic jams in Hampshire so no need of a book)

I try not to read on my way to work these days... I've startled way too many of the other drivers on the road already..

How is it that while driving, using a mobile without the hands free feature is illegal, but putting on nail polish and mascara is not?

* giggles *
Most often I drive to work but from time to time I go into London - great coz I can read I hear really mixed things about Digital Fortress - people seem to either love it or be really disappointed - I guess I should give it a go. I like to have a not to challanging or gripping book for when I am away with work - not to challnaging as I am probably tired and not to gripping as I need to make sure I dont end up staying up way to late to read it!!!

It's not a bad book.. but I had read it after reading A&D so it had a lot to live up to..
