... of Wychwood's Hobgoblin Dark English Ale
Mr. Nerd and I are bearing in mind that this beer had to travel thousands of miles, or from its point of view, thousands of kilometers, to reach us. In spite of that grueling journey, it held up pretty well, but probably was better closer to its home.
Nonetheless:
Presentation - We are keeping the adorable bottle, with its
Appearance - Nice rich reddish-brown color, not cloudy.
Aroma - A little hop aroma, but a tiny bit "off" really, the only indication that this bottle may have traveled a bit far.
Taste - a round robust flavor starting out fruity, through caramel, and ending in roast notes, and a clean finish.
We are pairing this with one of our favorite white trash dishes. Is it still considered white trash cooking if you use organic grass fed beef?
