Oh.
On the knitting front.... the afghan is coming along swimmingly, what with the latest addition to the color mix - a multicolored yarn called "ocean".
I had to un-knit a couple of rows because I dropped a stitch (or something, it didn't look like a regular dropped stitch or I'd have been able to weave it back in, but that just didn't work, so I had to unknit back to where the problem disappeared instead). But I'm back on track now, and have worked many more rows. As the afghan gets wider (remember it's started at the corner and worked diagonally, so each row gets longer) it takes a lot longer to work even one row.
Took some pictures of it to show AW the color changes last night. She said it looks just like hers do (), all heathery and beautiful.

Um... I'll have to get a yahoo picture page and upload them...
after I figure out *how* to do that, of course.

It's easy Go to the Yahoo home page, and click photos... It pretty much walks you through (Be sure you're signed into Yahoo though...)

That wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be....

Oooh, pretty
Maybe I should learn how to crochet or knit... Well, not *entirely* accurate--I used to know how to do a single chain, crocheting, and I think I was taught how to knit... Been half my life ago though...

Thanks for all the compliments - I'll let you know when I post more pictures as work on it progresses.

I just dropped the periwinkle color and am working in a medium gray with the ocean multi-color yarn now...
Then I intend to do some dark gray with the ocean for a while, then... I dunno... got lots of reds I could use, but maybe should do purples and lavenders with the ocean for a while first, then switch back to the rose pink background color for a while before doing all those reds.

You could do.

I was never into knitting really... Had to do it in school so I have knitted gloves, socks and a vest. I knitted gloves because you could choose between a sweater and gloves. Guess which I chose? Well I can tell you it was HELL doing all those fingers... Socks were relatively easy and I even wore them, don't know what happened to them though... Oh yes I have also knitted those things you put to your feet that keep your ankles(?) warm. I still have them and even wear them from time to time...
Johanna,
and please do drop around my page... I am not a terribly active user here but I do keep a journal into where I write things sometimes.

If you've knitted socks and gloves, you're a lot more accomplished with knitting needles than I am.
I found a different multicolor yarn by Red Heart called "Artist" - lots of jewel tones, mostly in magenta and purple. I dropped the rose pink color and made that my main color worked with a beautiful magenta and then with a dark purple, before finally going back to the rose pink main color again. Those dark tones were so beautiful together, though!
Last time I bothered to measure the side of the Afghan, it was already 5 feet long. I'm trying to decide how much more to do before starting to decrease...

GOOD luck with the Afghan, I did check it out in Yahoo. Looked GREAT...
I am consider buying the new Cardigans-album, the single cut out of the new cd is currently playing in radio. I loved the Gran Tourism -album... and Camp was good as well... I should be saving money but often find myself thinking in record-shops: What is 20 euros? I can easily save that in other things and end up buying yet another cd... and never save ANYTHING in other things
Happy knitting...

It's 6'7" along the side now, so AW has explained to me how to start decreasing...
She says I'll be done with it in no time.
She overestimates my knitting abilities....
