h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

After nearly a year of living with my bloke and struggling with getting the bike past several cars in not much space just to go out and play, it will have a home of it's own in a couple of weeks! We've found that the council rent some very decent garages in the next street down from us and one just became available so I now have tennancy! Once I've replaced the chain and had a spring service (courtesy of my fab Dad) I will finally be able to use it as often as I like with no hassle - finally!

As someone with a bike which only *just* fits into the garden (already bust 2 indicators on this! have to change it for a pre 1980's bike where indicators not required!) I can very much appreciate your joy in this!

Too right it is - it used to take me longer to get kitted up and get it out of the garage, past all the cars than it did for me to actually get to work! Looking forward to just walking round the corner and pulling it out of it's own BIG house!

Great, until your partner asks you to store stuff in the garage. I just can't convince VFRgal that garage = bike (plus tools etc), house = Outrider dont care. Just have to keep trying I guess.

Well as the bloke is a bit of a car nut I know I'll be storing some engine bits and things in there, but it has been made clear that the bike has priority in my garage! He's got his own garages to store things in.....guess I'll have to fill my garage with bike things - like another bike! I will not give in to the cars!

Plenty of room outside for cars.
